The g is fast, deceptively fast and 330 hp is fine. Na cars have little room to tune so get a fi car and wear it out before you pass the problems on to the next owner. Stupid thread.

Nothing is ever fast enough. Once you have 330hp, at first it'll feel fast because you're not use to it. Get use to it, then it feels slow and you'll want more. That's why modding is like heroin, so addictive.

I didn't buy this car to hit the dragstrip or whatever. I bought the car because it looks good and it feels great. I feel that AWD is great for snow, but it just isn't as fun as rear wheel drive. I've turned plenty of heads getting sideways at a stop light and have gotten even more compliments by the looks and the exhaust sound.

Interesting thread. I mean, it's good to hear people being honest and such (that was my whole reason for joining this forum. To get opinions on the car) but I still want one so far. My last vehicles were a 1600cc Corolla and a 2500cc diesel truck. So, yeah... I think the G37 is going to be just fine for me.

You couldn't have said it any better.

But here is my 2 cents. I saw a GTR in person yesterday, and quite honestly, makes the G look like a beat up chevy.

But being that I've owned the competition, The G holds up. I always thought my g35 was quicker, but then gain, it was modded. I feel my "Fun Factor" will kick in when I get the ultra longs by Stillen.

I've owned my g37s for about a year now and i can say I love my car. It still turns heads wherever I go and it is the kind of car that can be taken anywhere to any event no matter what. It is class with sporty design. The sound this car generates still leaves me to believe there is nothing out there in the same price range with as good of a sound as the g. As for performance, the thing is fast for an N/A v6. However, me being a sports car enthusiast will join the rest of you in saying that I would now like some more speed. But think about it this way: You can go to a formal dance, wedding, or any other kind of semi-formal/formal event in the g37 and look like the ****. People will stare and heads will turns just based on the sexy looks of this car and the exhaust note is the cherry on top.
Now lets say i had a fully built 1998 Supra (my dream car for all out bruit power). Pulling up in your suit and unbuckling those racing harnesses would make you look rather childish IMO. So as owners of cars with so much style, sportiness, and versatility, just be happy you are driving a ~42k dollar sports coupe and mod the **** out of it if you need more power.

I own an 08 Evo X GSR and have always loved the G coupes. I've never actually riden in one or test driven one but am pretty sure this would be the car i would buy if i had the cash for a second car. From what I've seen/read I think the car strikes a perfect balance between luxury and performance, and it has the looks to go with it.

I'm also sick of everyone comparing everything to the GT-R. It's undeniably a sick car, but it also is a car that I would never buy. Nissan f*cked up big by selling a car that you void the warranty on if you drive it the way it's advertized stock. Look it up online, turn on the launch control and you void your warranty. They have already made people pay $20k to replace blown transissions. The GT-R in this respect is a huge failure, it is not the fastest performance car in its price range because you void the warranty and break it if you drive it the way it's advertized as being able to be driven. Heck, they might as well include bottles of NOS installed OEM and advertize the car as having 600whp with a shot of NOS, oh but if you use the NOS it voids your warranty, and using the NOS will probably break the car.

But back on topic. i think my X looks sick, but having the large hood vents and huge spoiler do give it a boy racer look to it. As much as I think it looks clasier then older 8/9s I don't think it comes close to the style that the G coupe carries. (I'm also sure that being a Mitsu isn't helping my cause).

Anyway, I know that while the girlfriend gets a huge smile out of being pinned in her seat around a corner at ridiculous speeds, I think she would also get as huge of a smile from pulling up to vallet park the car at a restaurant in a G coupe. You guys have a wonderfull car and should apreciate it, or if you don't I'd be glad to take it off your hands.
