Similar problem was notorious on the G35s. Only hear of a few G37 people experiencing this.

problem filling gas

I have similar problem. Took car to dealer. There is a service bulletin to remedy this problem. Not repaired yet as dealer had to order parts, and they are coming from Japan.

I have this problem, but as long as I'm filling slow, its fine...Fills up completely. If I blast the gas it will stop abruptly.

mine just did this today on me, and my boss's Infinity SUV is having similar problems. Would you happen to know the TSB number or link to it?

Its the saddlebag style gas tank. It fills up on one side and some pumps pump too fast for it to handle. Normally. I pull the filler out slightly and then I'm fine. This was a big issue on the G35. I've only had the problem once on the G37. When I pulled the filler out slightly it filled up with no problem.

Had this happen when I first had my G35 coupe - took about a month, and it went away on its own. Very annoying - mine wouldn't restart filling even if I pulled the handle back part ways.

Have not had this happen on my G37 tho.

Ha, this happened to me the other day and I thought I was loosing my mind. The guy across from me filling up his car must have thought I was a nut trying to overfill my tank! lol!

Though, I just pulled the nozzle out a few inches and it worked fine and stopped once full.

lol i just had this problem today.. AGAIN.. that makes it twice now. So does it mean I should get it fixed at the dealer?

And there was a FX35 waiting in line to fill his tank.. I was taking way too long manually squeezing the pump and it keeps clicking out.. my tank was empty and the pump started clicking at like 8-9 gallons.. ~_~

He must have thought I was trying to overfill or something LOL..

My 350z would do this occasionally too. I found if I twisted the nozzle sideways or upside down the fuel filler would get unstuck and pump normally again, worht a try next time you have the issue.
