Platinum Ice vs. Liquid Platinum

I just bought a loaded G37S in Platinum Ice. I live in Canada and I see from the US site that they don't have the same color. They do have Liquid Platinum. Is that the same color....just a different name??

btw, can you take a good look at the colour of you bumper and the sheet metal itself ? i feel like the metal part has a creamier white in contrast to the bumper which is more calk white.

I don't think you are correct. Both the US and the Canadian sites show Ivory Pearl as a color, so I would doubt that Platinum Ice is the same. Platinum Ice is more of a silver color, not white.

there's no getting away from that. paint - especially pearlized white - will have a different hue when cured on plastic as oposed to metal. my IP has it, as well as everyone elses.

Not correct. Ivory Pearl in Canada is Ivory Pearl in the US. Platinum Ice and Liquid Platinum are the exact same color, just named differently. Platinum Ice is the Canadian name while Liquid Platinum is the US name.

No problem Mark. For some reason Infiniti has given us in Canada some different colors names than in the US. Not sure why. A couple other examples that come to mind.

Platinum Graphite = Diamond Graphite
Blue Slate = Blue Onyx

Garnet,

I just sold my 07 S2000 and opted for a car with a little more convenience and comfort. I also bought an EX35 and let my 05 Acura RL go. I am unfamiliar with some of the Nissan/Infiniti ways, so thanks for letting me know about the color thing. I am looking to buy some accessories from the US and needed to know the color.

Funny, I am looking to pick up an S2000 in the spring as my weekend toy.
