Buyers Remorse anyone?

Just want to get a feel from people here who bought a G37.. I'm mostly looking over from people who upgraded from a G35 coupe to a G37..

Any regrets? Do YOU like it? Whats the biggest difference for you?

i kinda feel the buyer remorse. i was looking for a fast car, the type of car that will be you that rush. the g did give me that for like the first month but after that, i wanted more. i was looking at the 07 sti, g37, and 135i.

I had an 03 G35, and the feeling of completely loving the G37 wore off after 4 months or so after I first bought it. The main reason why I bought is because it was just a much better deal at the time, since I basically paid no money down and the payments are just about the same.

I get happy again with the G37 usually when I pick up a new mod, but that wears off pretty quick as well. I really want a car now that more performance than an overall package. You can't really get a whole lot of power out of the G even for the price of most of the mods, you still can't gain that much. I'm still planning on getting an Evo X next year.

I had a ’04 G35 coupe before my G37 and have no remorse at all. Besides the smoother ride, the G37 has quite a few advantages over my old G35, solving many annoyances that I used to have, like excessive brake dust, inaccessible and hard to use dip stick, propping up the hood with a pole, and that poorly designed pop-up nav screen that didn’t seem to belong, as well as the nav system itself. I also have many more features that I didn’t have before, like voice recognition, backup camera, 9.3GB hard disk, telescoping steering column, memory seat/wheel adjustments and keyless ignition/entry.

ninous, i would assume youre in your 20's, so get something that has a stock turbo and just buy a chip, downpipe, etc. and call it a day. you would want more power after you get used to the g37.

Yeah i'm that type of guy.. I'm 19.

I love stock luxury/performance cars but I always want that little performance edge.. It just comes out of nowhere.

I'm pretty much down to 335i coupe and this car..

I love japanese cars, not as complicated as the germans and IMO way more reliable.

I've been reading some more and I like the 7AT idea.

Keep posting guys.

Thanks for your honest thoughts.

The thought of spending 45K and having remorse would horrify me. I spent 5 years researching what car I would buy to avoid that remorse. Granted Infiniti pulled a fast one on us 5AT owners with the release of the 7AT, but in the end the differences are negligable and inevitable and the reasons I bought the car still exist, so no remorse here. This is definately the best car I've owned.

If however you do feel remorse.. look on the bright side, you still have one of the best cars out there, so just remember...

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of ****
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...

IF you desired a sports car, why didn't you purchase one in the first place?

Ok, I am going to stop this before it gets out of hand. The SPORTS CAR CRAP has been beaten to death. If you want to read about it then do a search and find the very lengthy threads. No "the G is or the G isn't a sports car" after this post.

My 2 cents. You will ALWAYS want more power, no matter what car you have. If you had 500whp, you would get used to it and want more.

Truth.

To the OP: You may not be in the same state of mind as me, given your stage in life...but there is always someone faster. Sooner or later you'll realize speed isn't everything. You could make a civic fast as hell for half the price of the G37, but guess what...its still a piece of **** and won't pull vagina. As long as the car is fast enough for you to have fun and puts a smile on your face, thats all that matters. Luxury and performance rarely mix together unless you have deep pockets...even though we all still customize and push the envelope with what we have according to our own tastes.

No remorse at all here, still loving it every time I drive (although I've only had it for about a month). I love the look and feel of the car so much (and probably more after modding starts), that if/when I get bored with it's performance I think it will be worth the $5-10k needed for an FI solution. Then I'll finally be able to keep up with my bro's twin-turbo I30.
