Removing Airbag Sticker on sun visor

Just had the passenger side visor replaced as I found there is a rip when I bought the car. I had to pay nothing but the bill was about $425. I dont really understand why we need to remove the sticker? Just leave it as is... unless it has a rip in it... my 2c...
