I'm thinking its just from a bad seal on the gas tank, so i took the gas cap off and put it back on getting a good number of clicks. But I still have the CEL on, is there anyway of reseting this without a dealer or a code reader? I don't notice any difference in the engine or overheating, no problem really so it leads me to believe its the gas cap as this happen once before, luckily the car was due for an oil change and I had the dealer reset the light.
Uhh so do you need it reset or is it reset already? You can take the battery cable of for a while or do the gas pedal reset.
Does that reset CEL lights or all the fuel mapping and every other function? If i'd end up loosing all my presets garage codes and such i'd just wait till a dealer can clear the light.

If you do the gas pedal reset you should be able to keep all your presets because it just resets the ECU not the whole car if I'm not mistaken.
