'08 G37S vs. '09 G37S

Does anyone know if the AWD will have the tuned suspension and paddle shifters? Also, it doesn't make sense that you can't get the spoiler with AWD, wtf?

What do you guys think will the price be for the '09 fully loaded 7AT? Will AWD version be comparable to a fully loaded 7AT, since there is no G37Sx? If so, I'm gonna go RWD fully loaded.

The Sport Package already includes the wheel and tire combo from the 6MT/Perf. Tire and Wheel Package

There are thousands (NOT hyperbole!) of new 08 G37s still on lots. If you're willing to look outside your perimiter you should be able to find whatever you want. The 09 G37s are already here and have been sitting at the ports for at least 2 weeks for this very reason; they've got to clear out more 08s first!

I just bought my 08 S with active steer. I got it even since the dealer gave me an amazing discount. I could not justify the price difference. The dealer also gave away the active steer which to be honest I did not cared for so much. However after doing some reading I am excited about giving a try. After all if you want the latest toys and tech you ought to pay for it, I think the car is no matter which year is an amazing package with 09 leading.
P.S. I did compare the G with 335 and IS and A4 and non the less the G offered the best total package.

I think that is the main reason. Better mpg, lower rpms at higher speeds, reduction of gas consumption. Performance should be close to the A5, maybe there is some advantage with the hp in the sweet spot per shift etc.

Raf...
I was in the same exact boat you are in. I was sure I was going to wait for the 09 but I pulled the trigger and got an 08. No question the 09 will have desirable features- the 7speed should add 1-2 mpg (maybe more) and over the life of a car that is a good savings. Also the awd is a very attractive feature.
But I still bought an 08. Why? It wasn't the price because I believe I could have dealt with the 09s also.
It really was this- I did not want awd (I live in Philly but lots of Philly guys told me to put on snows and I will survive). I do not believe that the awd in the Infiniti "feels" as good as the rwd. We can argue this all we want but to me it feels like a bolt on rather than integrated into the car like the EVO X. That is my opinion and a lot of people will tell you the ride is the same and to them that is true but just not for me. It may be all in my head but so be it.
The other issue is the newness of the 7 spd. Again- Inifniti is so reliable that I do not think it will be so but the 5 AT is so tried and true.
Last reason- and the biggest- EMOTION- life is short - I was in the mood and did not want to wait. Plus- they seem to keep pushing back the date.
2nd to the last reason- I put LOTS of miles on my cars in a short period- about 30k/year. So in 2 years I will be looking at 09s anyway. If you keep cars for ever you may want to wait.

Not a big deal if the NAV could be accessible by your passenger while the car is in motion (I hate that crap). Thank god for KT Technologies but you shouldn't have to have a work-around for a $45K car.
