Exclamation Happy Birthday Today to my G37

My G37 is one year old today and whereas I’ve read never to buy a new model in its first year I can honestly say there’s been no recalls, no nagging design flaws and no real problems except for one thing:

Twice now, on different tires, when I’ve added some air (like some politician says will eliminate or dependence on foreign oil) the valve stem core has failed as I finished with air rushing out only stopped by the valve cap and a trip to the dealer to replace the valve under warranty. Is my motor driven pump somehow causing it or are our valves prone to such things?

It may be a TSB. Search for it.

2004-2008 ALL INFINITI MODELS; TPMS SENSOR SEAL LEAK
When repairing an air leak at a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) sensor seal, a seal is now available
separately.

I only have 7,340 miles. Being semi-retired I only go into work one day each week now.

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't appear to be a TPMS problem, and I found no TSB’s for the difficulty I described. Before I go out and buy a new air compressor, I’m wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Heck, I've only had mine for 6 months now and I have almost 13k on her. I love to drive her.

PD
