Should I get the 4WAS
I'm thinking if I should get the 4WAS on my 08' g37 MT6 coupe. I live in New York so we get a lot of snow... so I don't know if it will help in snow? or is it way better to handle. Anyone with the 4WAS let me know how it works!

4WAS is good for high speed maneuvering. So if you switch lanes at highway speeds, the car will stay 'flatter'. For city driving, you're not going to see much difference, except that you can make a turn a lot later into the corner than if you didn't have the 4WAS.
I'm not sure if the 4WAS works like the system they had in the Honda Preludes of 3 generations ago ... if you turned the wheel to one extreme, the rear wheels would turn the opposite direction. That made parallel parking really easy in tight spots!
My thing is that ... for a $1k option, that means more maintenance and for something to break down down the road (if you plan on owning the car more than the duration of the warranty). More moving parts = something that breaks.
My $0.02 ... don't bother with it.

have it on mine and notice a difference only when i go back to driving a non 4WAS car. It feels strange not having it now.
I definitly like how it feels at high speed. it definitly reduces the amount of counter steer needed.
I like it for the "cool factor." I like saying ya, my car has 4 wheel steering

Be aware some performance exhuast and suspension parts might not be available if your into moding. It's hard to say if they will eventually come out with AWS versions, but there are definately parts that state non-AWS now.

I'd get it again...
...and so I suggest that you get it as well. If you want objective answer, drive both versions yourself - I did that and in "spirited driving" 4WAS seemed superior. Good luck!

I test drove the 4WAS when I bought my BMW, and I bought the one WITHOUT 4WAS - regretted it. When deciding to purchase 4WAS, I really didn't care if it came with it or not, but my deciding color combination (IP - Black interior) was only available with 4WAS... so i got it, and love it.

I like mine... I have drove both... I did feel something. what it was... dunno... just felt better...
I bought mine just because I wanted the Loaded up version of the car... Glad I did now...
As for performance parts... I have not seen a G37 specific exhaust that doesnt fit a 4WAS yet... so your good there... and the camber kits Just came out so your good there... so performance parts are NOT an issue right now...
EDIT: HKS may not fit... sorry

I test drove both- a non 4WAS car and a car with 4WAS. I instantly decided to get the car with 4WAS. I love the handling and its responsiveness on the highway. I'd definately get it. It does feel wierd getting into a car that does not have it, after driving a car with it.

Drive them both back to back, and you'll notice the 4WAS. I had to have it when I bought it because of my test drives, but really don't notice it too much now. It definitly makes a difference in the car around bends.
