Damn it HOuston freeways are a mess I got my first rock chip on my windshield this morning. Car only has 2000 miles. IM so pissed. Anyone else have a chiped or cracked windshield?

when i first read that... i was like you just got a rock chip?!?! it's normal... but i saw windshield... i have 1 small *** rock chip on my front bumper... was mad at first, but it's almost inevitable

+1... I've done this before when I was driving my dad's truck and it happened. They'd rather pay to have it repaired than buy a new windshield when it spreads.

Rock chips suck but look at the bright side, it's the windshield and not your paint, get enough chips and eventually replace the windshield...

Houston is window breakage central dammit. I live here too and got a nice nickel sized windshield chip at about 200 miles while driving to the Infiniti dealership for a service call.

Yeah I got my first couple rock chips and I didn't even have the car two weeks. I was almost going to get the whole bumper repainted, then do the scotchguard paint protectant. Oh well, happens.

i had it fixed this past week but it still looks like crap. I did a search on here and found out that a new oem windshield is about 850 bucks...OUCH

In Florida, this is covered by insurance with NO deductible. I would venture to say you can find an auto glass dealer who will agree that it needs replacing. It's worth a try.

i've had my car a week, and my windshield allready looks like it's been through a war. Tiny rock chips all over it(looks like lint). Are the windshields on these cars really soft or something? I mean, I do drive mainly highway miles, but, my accord windshield took 2 years before it looked this bad.

Make you feel any better. I was sitting in Northern VA traffic on 495N. The South bound was still moving and a rock some how shot over the median barrier and put two chip marks on my side window? I was like WTF, how do i get a chip sitting in traffic on my side window? Its an eye sore since I have dark tint all around.
