15k service was $395 + tax.
i got it done made it feel a lil better exhaust stopped rattling now, and they had to order window regulators (warranty). i got it done cause i haven't rotated the tires yet and they did that and they changed the filters which i haven't done yet either so im happy and got to drive a loaner.

They were going to try to charge me $480 for that, I read over the stuff, all it is was oil change, air filters, and an incabin filter, then just inspections and top off other fluids. Waste of money, I told them to just change the oil since once those HKS filters are back in stock I'll change those myself. But I don't need someone to inspect my tire wear. I can manage on my own.

Not that I am trying to compare the two cars but, my last car was a 2001 Civic I purchased brand new the minute I graduated from University.
I replaced NOTHING, but FLUIDS (religious engine oil and tranny oil changes), filters and 1 set of tires (no muffler, brakes, timing belt) until 260,000km. You read that right - 260K (200K miles) with nothing but fluid and filter changes. Also note, 2001 was the first re-design year of the last gen Civic, so assumably, the worst of the batch.
At 260K, suspension started to clank (known issue on Hondas), timing belt was about to blow (so they kept telling me), muffler was was still perfect and brakes were still perfect.
Point is, depends on how you drive your car. I babied my Civic - never slanmmed on the brakes (5spd - learned to drive stick in that car - so a lot of engine breaking), rarely accelerated hard, never let it idle in the driveway, and rarely drove it less than 20minutes. Now, I baby the G. I forsee no problems as long as you take care of the things that need to be taken care of.
The "inspections" they perform are really a way for you to pay for warranty maintenance. Once the warranty is over, you will notice they stop asking you to abide by their maintenance schedules. Nevertheless, at some point, those items that are being inspected will BREAK.
It comes down to, can you put a price on your piece of mind? If you take your G on long road trips as I do, i presume you would hate to be stranded because some $20 rubber seal/boot had a hole in it.
Yeah, yeah, road side assistance ftw at that point i guess, but surely you have better things to do than sit on the side of the hwy for 3 hours.
And in case you care, I am sticking to schedule 1 until warranty runs out - thats right, I am not listening to myself. This is not a lease, and I plan on keeping her longer than my Civic. How cool would it be to drive this car in 20 years when hydrogen powered, no engine noise cars are flying around. Smell my exhaust!
