[quote=07BlackG35Stud;2400652]Slight correction: 2003 is the last S2000 year before the motor was stroked and the rpm's dropped....I know because I owned one [/quote

But didnt they change the body style in 2003? I like the original body style and purchsed a 2000 model. I was mad that Honda kept making them as that was supposed to be a ultra low production car but turned out to be a booming success. My only complaint was the plastic window but even some Ferraris come with plastic windows on the convertibles. I know that was replaced with glass in the 2002 model.

No, they changed the body style in 2004. Here's the break down:

AP1: 2000-2003
AP2: 2004-present

Main difference between 2000 and 2001 are the tweeters on the doors that they added for 2001, and the wind deflector (between the 2 seats) that they added for 2001.

Main difference between 2001 and 2002 is the rear glass versus plastic, and the shift **** I believe. They also changed some lines on the dash.

2002 and 2003 are identical. I believe one of the few differences was the Honda emblem on the front bumper is larger on the 2003 model. My friend had a 2002 and I had a 2003 and we couldn't find any differences.

Main differences between 2003 and 2004 were the engine up to a 2.2L, the head/tail lights and bumpers changed, the wheels changed, and the interior changed a bit. Also the dash.

From 2004 and up the changes are minimal, mostly wheel styles.

G is not tossable at all, the weight is very evident.

So my point is to those who don't think the G is tossable at all -then they are approaching it from the wrong perspective. The G accomplishishes its tossability differently from say an S2K.

My experience is that it handles as close to a BMW as any car on the road and with the LSD standard, the G is tough to beat.
CArr & Driver stated that either car was just a likely to be ahead at the end of a straight. You be the judge but categorizing the G as a GT is not quite accurate.

Cheers!
Finally someone said it. I just test drove G37 within 24 hours of an extensive test with the EVO X and the Bimmer 335. The EVO X bested both the G and the Bimmer 335 but, come on, the EVO IS a track car. We are talking about incremental differences here. Why add comments like "for its weight". Unless you want a bike, you have to make compromises for safety and comfort. Most do anyway. I have driven s2000 and I would take the G or the Bimmer anyday. Now a Lotus or a Caymen S maybe I would switch. But he is coming from the FWD TL whose handling is sloppy (sorry). Any RWD car is going to thrill him plus he gets all the features he had in his Acura.
