I had the same problem, but only when I had my sunglasses in there. And because of the shaking, the lens was getting scratched so I took them out and now I keep them behind the shifter. no shaking and no more scratching.
and they don't get as hot behind the shifter as they used too when I had them in the holder.

I believe I have the same problem. It has nothing in it but the rattle is pretty evident. I have no idea how to fix it, but will definitely try the trick of putting something padded/weighted in it. Thanks.

I have a nasty rattle on rough asphalt on the freeway. Sunglasses in or out, doesn't matter.
If I open it, it goes away.

Gotta find some felt or something to stick on the latch.....

my sunglass holder has started to rattle. not sure if its the increased temperatures (doubtful) or the new FI exhaust.
any fix for this?

Mine started to rattle too.

Just take one of those glasses cleaning cloths and wrap it around you glasses before you put em in there. It should do the trick.

I've had a pair of sunglasses in my holder since I bought the G (unless I'm wearing them) and have never heard any rattling whatsoever...I'll listen a little closer when I drive home...

I think it's a known defect. When I had the same problem the dealer (Tustin Infiniti, CA) replaced it in a heartbeat without any argument.
