first service
so i know the first real service is supposed to be at 3750 or 3 months, whichever comes first and i tihnk i should probably have mine serviced but i'm not really sure. heres the story.
got the car towards the end of january.. the 22nd if i remember correctly, and by June 4 it had just about 2k miles on it.
since then though, i've been home in hawaii (they shouldve made the G fast enough to drive across the pacific) so really its not being driven at all right now. I'll be flying back to st louis - where the car is - on august 8th and i wasnt sure if i should just go ahead and have it serviced as soon as i get back? almost 7 months old but still only 2k miles on it.
i'd call and ask my dealership but the people there are likely retarded (i told them not to drill holes for the front license plate but they did it anyway and i made them give me a new fender) and i'm almost positive they would just say 'well its really up to you..."
so what do you guys think?

I've had mine for right about 3 mos. now and with 3500 miles. I will be turing it in this Monday for its first service.
I would get it serviced even if it had only 2K miles. I'd rather be safe than WOrry.

I would definitely get service after six months regardless of miles, especially your first service. I think its good to check the fluid levels after a month or so just to make sure there's nothing wrong with a new vehicle.
For a low mileage vehicle, I would change oil and check the other fluids every six months. No reason to take a chance . . . that's just 2 oil changes a year!

thanks for all the input guys.
i was going to make a thread but i guess i could just address it here. Is there anything i need to do in terms of "winterizing" the car in transition from fall to winter?

Mine is only at 800 miles now but my first service at Infiniti is free so I am going to take it probably around 1500 miles when the engine should be fully broken in.
Also, does anyone know if this car burns any oil on average? I am going to check the oil first thing in the morning which is a good idea on new cars.
What oil/mix does it come with new?

I've just gotten my service reminder. I haven't had any real problems at all, but I've heard people mention dealers doing something for rattling exhausts and something about a software update for the trans?? Is this something I should have them do? Thanks.
