Offering 2 auto's in one model year seems inefficient to me.. I wonder if it is a supply problem or a way to get people to buy up for the MPG..

Auto door locks can be had with a cheap aftermarket module (KP tech), scratch shield has a life span of 3 years if I remember correctly and only protects from scratches that won't break the clear coat (so if a rock hits you hard enough or you get keyed with a certain amount of pressure, you're screwed anyway), and the 7AT...well, I have a 6MT, so I guess I'm in the clear although i would've reeeaaallllly thought about getting a 7AT if the option was there a year ago...

So 7 AT is not exclusive to Sport Package then?

its not w/ the G37 sedans. it wouldn't be right if they had 2 auto trannies in the g37 coupe. plus, it wouldnt be cost effective

Maybe only the Sport gets the rev match along with the paddle shifters? That would make more sense to me.

I have a question for Da Mayor. If i'm reading this correctly, to get the rear spoiler on the journey model you have to order the sport package and the nav package or can you get the spoiler with just the sport pkg?

My thoughts exactly. Doesn't seem like much of anything changed performance wise. Still glad I got the '08 because I am a girly girl and wouldn't care about the 7AT. As for the scratch shield paint, doesn't sound like it is going to be all that great for the most part. That is unless you have OB and swirl marks are the enemy. It will be interesting to see who gets the first '09 coupe on here.

Very true about KT Tech but if it's already on the car, it's not needed anymore (well, execept for the NAV work-aroud). Also, I'll take the 3 yrs of scratch shield compared to the NOTHING that the current coupes have. Nissan is notorious for their soft paint. I've seen brand new cars on the lot with plastic in the interior that already has scratched paint. It's terrible. GIVE ME THE SCRATCH SHIELD!!!!!!!
