How old were you when you first got the coupe?

What age do you personally think is suitable/appropriate to start riding in the G37?

a solid age number would be convenient and helpful so that i'd know whether i shouuld wait longer orr.. its the right time to start piling up money :]
-thanks

i'm 19. the G was my first car but before my parents told me they were considering it i wouldve been satisfied with something like an accord to be honest.

Appreciate what you've got, especially if your parents bought it for you, but if you think you deserve somethign better, there no harm in trying.

i tell my parents all the time about cars im going to get when im older and have my own money/family/home but im still very very happy to have the G.

Honestly, you should be grateful if you have a brand new accord.

I'm 19 now, with a g37s. I had a g35 prior to this for 3 years. I say if your responsible and have the money, why not?

the 09's should be sick, definitely something to wait for

I'm 20, and the G37 is my 3rd car, I had a Navigator and a G35 before this.

The way I see it is if you can afford to buy it and it will make you happy then do it. But don't put yourself in a bad financial situation just to have a nice car.

I think getting the G as a second car (around 19-21 years old) is a suitable age. I am 19 and this is my second car (prior car was an E46 M3 and 3-Series). I see a lot of 16-17 year olds with the G37 in L.A. and they treat the car as if it's trash, putting neon lights on it, revving it in front of parties, showing off, provoking races with other peope, driving irresponsible...

@ OP: why did you edit your post? lol.

anyway, i forgot to mention that when i was your age (i think you said 16 or 17?) i was still sharing a car w/ my mom because they refused to buy me or my sister cars in high school.

so yeah, be happy with what you've got

^^ Seriously, be grateful for what you have. I started to realize that once I had to start paying for my G now LOL

I still think kids shouldn't be driving 40K+ cars to begin with.

I'm 37. This car is a want, not a need. Now I have my needs met and I can afford what I want!

almost everything we have today is a want. we have all of our needs already, like food, water, shelter.
