Number of G37 Sport made?
Since i Have to wait 3 weeks or so my G37 Sport, it raises a question: Does anyone know what percentage of the G37 made are the Sport?
Anyone have a link with the total number made in 2008 and then the number made with the 6MT?
The local dealer had 10 - 12 G37 on the lot and NOT ONE Sport on the lot. The dealer told me no one wants the Sport. He said he people who buy the car want the automatic transmission.
I dont mind being in the minority because REAL MEN DRIVE STRAIGHT DRIVES!
Seriously thoguh, does anyone know what percentage of G37 with straight drives are made?

according to some dude on 6MT, you can call Infiniti customer service and they should be able to tell you:

My local infiniti dealer estimated 1% but I doubt that is true.

if you diddnt know auto > manual as of now for this car. in terms of 1/4 and also its fun i personally regret not getting it in MT but that comparison just makes no sense. AT is the standard for cars so why not give it everything the 6MT can have? wouldnt make sense. even with the revups with the 35 the 6mt had more hp at the crank but AT sales werent hurt.

I like this Journey loaner I have but I am getting bored with the Auto transmission and the paddle controls are boring to me.
The G37 is not a true sports car. It is a sporty coupe even with the sport package. However, there is no way you can replace the fun of a MT and control with an AT.
I just think people who AutoX, use to, and prefer the sports car aspects more than the luxury aspects of the G37 are going to opt for the 6mt.

I am sure someone who is 100% used to the 6MT would be able to consistently beat a auto. I have seen 13.8 for the 6MT and one 13.9 and a couple of 14.1 for the auto in the big 3 car reviewers.

Wait a minute, I have seen numerous tests by C&D and others and the 6MT always was faster although not by much.

Another AT VS MT thread. People have different tastes. The G is my first automatic car (I have always had sticks) and my johnson did not shrink because I drive an auto now. Give it a break already and talk about something else.

Geez, a stright drive is not about manliness. It is a preference for those who want more control over the car.
There is nothing wrong with a auto but some of us do prefer the control a straight drive gives.
I am only interested in finding out how many straight drives are made as none of the dealers seem to have any.
