G37S heat issues within the cabin?
Hey,
What's up everyone. I just wanted to know if this is normal or not. I was driving my G this evening. The temp outside stated it was 78 degrees, but inside the car... it was sooo hot. I had both windows down and the sunroof open. From my waist to my feet it felt like I had the heater on. I checked the climate control and it was turned off. The heated seats buttons were off. Does anyone else experience this with their G37? I know this car produces a lot of heat while its being driven and all, but man...its hotter inside than my 300ZX. Is there a lack of insulation to keep the heat from coming into the cabin area? Because if it is, I'd like to get it checked with the dealer since the car is only a week old.
The only way that I found to get rid of the heat issue is to turn the A/C on. But does anyone else notice this or am I just being overly concerned?

First off, I always have noticed that there seems to be a cushion of hot air that sits in the legroom area or it's blowing in hot air from the engine thru the lower vents. Secondly, if you're driving over 60mph (for the average car) you save more on gas by having the AC on. If the car is more aerodynamic, the speed might be lower for switching to AC to save on gas.

haha if you want to save gas, this is not the car for you. the g37 is not a car for someone that worries about gas prices/saves every bit of gas available, not just b/c of the gas mileage, its the power you have to unleash all the time in this car.

Ha! I am in Texas and this car will freeze you out. I have 30% 3M tinted windows (Amethyst Graphite/Stone). It does take a minute or 2 for the heated stagnant air to blow out once I start it up (after its been sitting in 100 degree sun) but after that, we're talking ice cold. Now if you want hot, try a 2004 RX8.

I also asked because if its just me with this problem, I'm going return the car. Besides, I don't think anyone else out there wants to buy something faulty, right?
