Black Book clean value is $34,600. Add 1,000 for nav. Dealers will most likely offer you "rough" book, which is less. If you still owe money on it or are leasing, why not stay in it? It'll take years of gas savings to recoup your loss. Good luck.

Yeah, if you trade and lose thousands, it'll take you a LONG time to recoup that money by driving a civic or whatnot.
Drive gently, pay it down, and take really good care of it, and think about this again in a few years

Need some more info on your car. Options, exact mileage, lease/finance terms (period). How many miles a week do you drive? You should consider reviewing your spending habits overall before simply deciding to sell your car. Sure gas is a bit more than it was when you bought your car but it's only $10-15 more a tank to fill up, hardly a significant amount that hindering your ability to save. Try and reduce your other expenses, TV/Cable, dine out one night a week less, catch a movie in the afternoon, things add up quickly so don't jump on the idea of getting rid of your car, you will be hurting more in the long run (IMO).

The notion of getting rid of a car due to the price of gas is just beyond me. When I bought the G (love it btw) saturday this lady was trading in an 07 Tahoe on a g35 sedan to "save gas." She owed 38k on the Tahoe and they gave her 14...and she took it...I was amazed and wanted to slap her. The Tahoe gets 14 around town she said, the g35 gets, what 20?
I think people just like to find something to be active about, so they make stupid decisions like taking a MASSIVE loss on trade to "get better MPG's." The justification is just stupid.
Now, if you're at the end of your Duramax lease and don't NEED a truck anymore eat the damage/mileage costs to turn it in and go for something that gets better gas mileage.
So to answer your question, it's worth less than that. I just picked up mine with sport + premium package, ill. kick panels, clearbra, tint, mats (there was a 2k addendum sticker on top of the 41,900 MSRP) Total MSRP was 43,900 and I was OTD (with all lease fees) for 38,300. That's a 5600 discount, you can count on yours realistically being worth that much less than "book"

Compare it with the car you're thinking about getting and see if it adds up.

Yeah, they were on crack. They wanted 695 for the bra, 695 for the tint, 350 for the all season mats, 400 for the accent lighting, 400 for the door sills etc. etc. The deal ended up almost 600 under their cost for the car (they showed me cost on the tint etc. etc.) Basically I got the car for 600 under invoice plus their cost on all the stuff (180 for tint, 160 for clear bra, 70 for the mats, free sills and free accent lights). Anyway, sorry for the thread-jack, point of the whole story was that prices were super inflated when these were spankin' new and now even Infiniti dealers are feeling the crunch. They'd rather loose 600 than have it sit there another month!
And no, 38.3k was with everything (acquisition fee and upfront taxes) the other taxes (16/month) are paid each month in CO. My plate fee I guess will be 315 but I kinda consider that separate as you have to register any car...
