Service Issue, had a question on loaners
never had an infiniti.... and they gave me a loaner for 4 days. I have 1/2 a tank of gas and no where does it state that i have to return it to where I had it...
I don't want to sound like a newb, but it is what it is....
anyone have insight?

Are you asking if you have to fill the gas tank? What are you asking exactly? If that is what you are asking, then yes. You usually have to return the car with the same amount of fuel they gave it to you with.

sorry guys, i should have been clearer on the question.
the only reason i ask is because my friend said he can get BMW loaners and not have to refill the tank... ah well
thanks

i've used several loaners from my local dealer and i never refuel before turning them in. my dealer charges a one time $5 loaner fuel charge that they bill with each service, but lately they have been waiving that fee because of my frequent visits
i also have never needed to refuel, as my dealer is quite efficient with service and has never had my car for more than 2 days.
I would assume that the loaner policies vary from dealer to dealer.

Honestly, I never fill my loaners back up, typically I only drive about 30-40 miles so I only use a few galloons. If you go from F to E expect to get a phone call after you return it. They can't really charge you for the gas but next time around they will either require a deposit for a loaner or just deny you one period.

Our cars all have 1/4 tank of gas in them and we ask that they come back with a 1/4 tank.
This way, if anyone wants to drive far, they do it on their tab, not ours, but the cars have a more than reasonable amount of gas for the customers that are just taking short trips.

my dealer gave me paperwork indicating the level of fuel i could return it at which was a notch below what it was at. so when i got it at a 1/2 tank, the level i was to return it at was about 1/4 of a tank. so it allowed for a moderate amount of driving on them and if i went lower than the 1/4 I had to replenish it.
