It should arrive within 3 weeks. If it does not, contact your dealer ASAP. They most likely did not put the request in for a new tag or thought you were going to transfer an old one. My dealer made a mistake but it still got to me in time.

If it's more than a month, call the dealer. For some reason my plates didn't arrive, but cleared DMV. I didn't have plates for 4 months .

You can't pick up the car until the license plate comes in? Is that a TX state law? I drove off without a plate, which arrived a month later I think.

no no, sorry for the misleading information, it's at my house in the garage, my parents are ***** and aren't letting me get it until the plates come in

they're reasoning is the vehicle has no license plates, and it's a pain to take it from home because things can happen to it (their example was that it could get stolen, etc)

so i said OKAY MOM AND DAD I WILL WAIT ANXIOUSLY, i am in love with the car and can't wait to go home and pick it up when the plates come in

Yea, all the new cars have no plates when you drive them off the lot......unless I'm confused by earlier posts. That's not the case in TX? What do you do when you buy a new car? Wait for the plate to come in?
