License Plate Problems

Hey y'all
I just got a new 37 and the dealership had front license plates on all the Gs, I want to remove it but how would I go about doing that without having the holes exposed?

Surprised your state doesn't require them.

I installed the bumperplugs in my G37 Brilliant Red. Color match was perfect and looks great.

Thanks for the site, the only thing is I'd rather have my bumper look smooth rather than have those plugs sticking out. I'm sure thats more work though, and regardless, I guess its better than the license plate being there.

I live in Houston as well. We are required to have the front plate in Texas. I had removed mine and put in upholstery plugs and painted them the body color with touch up paint from Autozone. This looked really good and I liked it much better than the plate, but I had a change of heart and put the plate back on. I really didn't want to attract any more attention from cops than what I was already getting. I am ordering some nice license plates from TxDot, something that I won't be ashamed to have hanging off the front of my car.

RU Kidding? I got pulled over the other night outside a club by the heights area (around midnight) by a two cop checkpoint. One cop was standing in the dark across the street with a radar gun while the other cop was waving the cars into a parking lot. They checked both plates, inspection and state stickers. They thought my inspection sticker was expired but I had to point out that it was a new vehicle, they read it wrong! Bastard newbie cops. They both looked like they were 15yrs old.

Defensive driving here I come!!!

All vehicles are required to in Texas but many of us (like me) don't. The ticket is about $100. I have no front plates on my Maxima or my G.

I really don't care, I'd rather have a clean looking car.

Oh and my dad's Porsche (bright red) doesn't have a front license plate either, he hasn't run into any problems with the cops here, so it just depends on your area. I'm more in the Clear Lake area.
