The last time I dragged the car, I tried DS mode and manual. And the DS shifted at redline. It is too hard to try and shift at redline without hitting the limiter. And since the DS shifts at redline I can't see any reason not to just use DS. As for the launch RPM from what I heard 3000 is good. I tried an idle start and a start at about 1700 RPM and I shaved about .1 sec off the 60' times.
And FYI, I did a VDC on and off run and the times where almost identical all along the track.

3000 is too much in most conditions. That will build up too much heat in your tranny and unless you break traction it will cause the TQ converter to bog. Either way that's not good when dragging (breaking traction too much or boging down)
1300 is the most I would rev up to.
The best time I've seen was VDC off, just slam the gas shifting in MM(timing had to be perfect in 1st gear)
The TQ converter in this car has high stall speed so extreme brake torquing in this car will have only minimal effects if any.
