UNV why are you waiting for 10k to switch to synthetic? would switching at 3750 have any adverse effects?
I just went to Vatozone and got 5 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-40 European Car Formula Oil. It's made to specs for high end MB's, BMWs, Audis, etc. and works just as well for performance motors in Japanese cars like ours. Also, I believe it has less iron content than the basic 5W-30as someone here noted.
I also got the Mobil M1-108 High Efficiency/Extended Life Oil filter.
I am debating hardcore as to whether I should do the 3750 with petroleum oil and wait for the 7k for synthetic - or whether to do synthetic straight away at the 3750. I know you are real great with cars inside & out - please advise me what to do. Thanks in advance!!!

I drive a lot for work. My region is most of Texas. It's 832 miles from our terminal in Beaumont to our terminal in El Paso. One way. It's closer for you to drive there from Irvine, CA than it is for me to drive from my Beaumont, TX terminal. I love to drive. Especially in the G.
Luckily I am reimbursed for all my work miles I drive and the non work related miles I am able to reimburse myself from my businesses. It really helps with the tax burden.
