Why did I buy my G: It was the best car for the money in the type of cars I like hands down.
I am a small business owner and spend most of my days driving from client site to client site. I cannot get a 2 seater anymore because I may need to have my 4 year old son in hte car at times. I am s sports car type of guy and USED to AutoX and such although not anymore.
I wanted a car that was a sports car or very sporty that had very good performance but was also comfortable and nice.
The cars I considerd was the BMW 335i, Lexus IS350, and Infiniti G37S after doing a good bit of reading. I then went and test drove the three cars.
The G37S was the car for and me and it looked great in that Blue Slate IMO. Honestly, the G37 blew me away. Despite what some car reviews have said, I like the interior of the G37 a lot better than the 335i. The 335i had more low end torque but didnt have as even of acceleration throughout its RPM range and didnt have as nice of features in the car and costed about 6k more with less features. The Lexus just didnt work for me. It is a nice car but it doesnt feel sporty at all to me.
I really think Iw ould have gone with the G37S even if the BMW was the same price. The BMW wsas a little quicker in the 1/4 mile but I dont race people and especially not from a dead stop. I felt like the G37S had better acceleration from anywhere in the RPM range. Heck, you can accelerate very quickly even in 6th gear at slow speeds in the G37.
I have had a lot of cars but I truly believe the G37S was the best car for the money that I have ever purchased.
