Who has the pure sport base model

I was wondering who all here has the pure sport base model with no extras. I was looking hard for one and finally got one for a good price. I was wondering if they are rare to find or when I finally decided to get a new car every body already bought the base model.

I had to special order one from the factory for a customer. Takes about 3 - 4 months to obtain one that way.

Really I was just wondering if they are a high demand. My dealer actually picked one up from another state to get it for me.

I thought you said there were 8 of them available across the nation when you did an inventory search.

But to the OP, yes, it's pretty rare to find a no options 6MT

This one particular consumer wanted Black Obsidian/Graphite with a sunroof. He wasn't flexible at all in this so since it didn't exist, we had to preference one from the factory to his specs.

Hence why it was preferenced. Sunroof was was the only option on the sticker; not even a trunk cargo mat or splash guards. Otherwise, Sport only models are rare since dealers will stock to what consumers at large would purchase, and a Sport only model doesn't get requested very often (twice only for me in fact).

Yes

Mine just came in yesterday. G37S (auto) with no premium package. I had to special order as well. The dealers make a lot of money on those packages so they dont like to customers to have a choice. The Sunroof is bad all the way around from a sports perspective. It adds 100 lbs at the top of the car and takes away 1.5 " of headroom. It also reduces the structural integrity of the car.

I am extremely happy with mine now that it has come in. I am 6'2" so I really appreciate the extra headroom.

Eh, I am a dealer and again, we'll stock to what most consumers will want to buy. Dealers don't necessarily make the money on the additional factory packages; the manufacturer does.

Congrats on your purchase BTW!

Wow that is nice to know. I really can care less for the sunroof because the structural integrity is sacrificed with a sun roof. I will be doing a few Xcrossing and that is why i like a stiffer frame. Has anyone ever tried auto crossing? it is freakin great.

Is it possible to order a 6mt with Premium/Nav but no sunroof? I wondered that when I ordered, but never asked as they located the car and got it to me in 10 days.
