Baby Seat?

Anybody try putting a baby seat in their G37? My wife has a sport SUV so we'd use her car most of the time when taking the baby...but once in a while or incase of an emergency it would be nice to be able to use my car (he's 4 months old now). Anybody get one back there? Or is there a specific one that would fit back there?

I've put one back there. There are standard child seat anchors and actually quite a bit of room.

Ditto. I have a booster seat in my G37. No problem.
The only bad part is there's so little head room back there that the little guys can easily reach up and goober up your glass.

Ono.

Is it safer to put children in the back vs. in the front seat with the airbag off? I know I've heard a lot of accident stories of people getting crushed in the backseat of small cars (G too).

Isn't it illegal to put any car seat in the front even without airbags?

It's very hard to fit a Britax brand becuase it's so big. To fit those cheaper style isn't such a big deal. I have two child car seat in the back.. It sorta ruins my game with the chicks, especially if I'm using the car as bait. Another reason why I need my windows tinted.

No problem with the baby seat in the back seat. Allthough I did find some candy like substance on my seat after the ride. I'll blame the ten year old girl on this one. My brother's boy is about 1.5 years old and he loves riding in my car untill he falls a sleep. The ten year old girl thinks my car is "Ultra Cool!" which is my brother's girlfriends daughter. I have to start enforcing the no candy rule when we take my car for a ride. Ohh well, I enjoy my time with them so it really doesn't matter.

You need to drive faster to keep the baby from getting distracted!

ha...thanks guys. The baby seat we have seems huge...I'll try to pop it in there tonight and see if it fits...if not I guess we'll just go out and try to find a smaller one.

Infiniti provides a .pdf list of seats that their engineers have tried in all of their models. You can get the list of seats that fit in the G coupe here.
