past 4500 rpm the G is very quick!

In fact it's launch is crippled only by the skinny 245s. Also you need to disable the VDC.

I agree with the thread starter. The first thing I noticed when I first test drove the G back in August (SAMPLE models) was the fact that while shifting with the steering wheel paddles, I never really looked down at the speedo until i realized i was doing 100mph on the freeway.

The salesmen in the car with me was smiling and just said, "I bet you have no idea how fast you're going?' He was right.

After the test drive I got back into my 06 G35 coupe and did 100mph on the way home, and it felt like the car was going to fall apart compared to the 37. Worlds of difference.

I was reading this thread earlier today but couldn't really relate. i was still getting the same feel i had been getting since the purchase. It has now been about 2 weeks since ive reached break in. Took the car to get it washed later on today and found myself feeling that there was a lag in power. I'm not sure whether the thread got into my head or something but now i feel like its not pushing like it did. At one point today i found myself flooring the car because i felt i was not giving enough gas, but no dont think that was it. And i cant say that its a result of having driven another sports car prior to the g37(its my first car as a teen) and i just spent a week away from it so i guess its just something you get used to.

Your car may actually be and feel slower due to weather conditions. If it is warmer or more humid then the acceleration will likely be slower.

The refined power of the G37 seems to be enough to keep me happy for a while though...

I have a 99cobra also and I think this sums up the 37 perfectly. I cant wait to see this car with a turbo and some added torque
