I Took a Survey
last saturday 2/9/08 I was aksed to do a survey for infiniti at the Long beach Westin Hotel. I was there with about 5 designers from Infiniti they asked me all about the car, likes, dislikes, what I would change, what it is missing, how I decided on the car etc. The meeting lasted about an hour and they gave me $200 for my trouble and took pictures of my car. Did any of you participate too??
Thought it was great that they took the time to talk to owners. was never called by any American comapnay when I used to buy American cars.

I went Saturday morning at 9am on 02/09. Yes...it was very cool just to talk about the car for about an 1 1/2 hours. But of course, the $200 Chase gift card was the reason that got me there. Took pictures of my car too, the gauges, the fuel economy screen, and for some reason...a picture of me in my "driving position".

yea that is cool. my bro was invited to germany when he bought his M6 to visit the facility and meet with designers and engineers. he's a premium member so he along with 50 other owners got snagged and questioned all weekend in a bimmer boot camp. he's had 9 BMW's his 08' M3 will be 10. bastard.
also, I driven them all and the reason i went with the G is simple. the interior looks amazing, car sounds amazing and you definitely get the "wow" factor most exotics demand. all that on top of it beiing a great value and you've got yourself a sweet deal.
Side note... the G has nothing on the M6 V10... now his 2002 M3 was nothing to brag about when parked next to the G. not even his wifes 335i come to think of it.

I think when I filled out the initial buyer surver (the one you get when you purchase the car)....there's a question that asks you if you'd like to participate in future studies......I answered "yes". From that point, it's probably just random.

They take photos of the car to get clues about how you use it. They won't forwarn you, because if you clean up they learn less. They can use info of your driving position to learn how to best position the seat, steering, shifter, etc.

I just told them that I was pretty happy with the car, they wanted to know everything about how I decided on the G and what other cars I was looking at.
Then they take you through all areas of the car asking what you like, what you dont like, what you would change and best of all anything not on the car that you would want .
There was a guy there representing, the drivetrain amd another who deals with electrical etc.
They also asked about past cars and how they compare.
The only thing I told them that they should include was auto lock on the doors when you get away from the car ( like Lexus) and for the mirrors to turn down while backing up, they did day that was one thing that most people asked for.
They even asked me how I use the moonroof, do I keep it closed all the time or open or just do the lift, it wa spretty detailed.
