The back wheel/quarter panel got jacked up from a secondary impact with the lady's car. She hit me so hard and at the perfect angle that the car swung around and hit her rear as well after the initial impact. Oh my aching neck!

We bought our G37S (journey) on Feb 2nd with prem, nav, sport, splash, cargo, rear mat, maintenance contract, wheel and tire warranty (wanted that because we're running 20's) and spoiler, for 47066 but with a trade in value of 25,500 for our 04 FX35. It was the best I could do after 3 dealers and a lot of negotiating Hopefully you can do better!
Sorry to see your wreck but happy as hell they totalled it!

Glad it got totalled. Those kinds of accidents are impossible to determinea loss value simply by looking. Soo much damage can be done. Was your frame bent?
$47k, was that OTD or before taxes?? Seems awfully high.

I couldn't get more than 20K out of the FX35 (it was a lease return with a residual of 19K) as a trade and was only able to get the G down to $41K as equipped, add in the warranty and maintenance contract ($566) and I was at $41.5. After that I didn't care how they wrote it up. Believe me, it was the best I could do, and I'm not too bad at negotiating although I'm sure there are those that are better.

Get a lawyer. Since she had insurance and the car is totaled I'm sure a lawyer could get you more either from her or the insurance company. Some people deserve to lose more for doing stupid things.

OUCH!!! Don't feel bad man, same thing happened to me back on December 4, 2007. I have a thread about it in OT. It looks like we have the same damage done to our cars except the car I hit also hit my passenger side door when it spun. My damage is at 29500 and the car is finally totalled. Though, the damage looks so minimal, our car parts are very expensive. My adjuster originally thought it would be $15,000 too. Boy was he WAY off.
Anyway, good luck on your whole ordeal. I am still waiting for my car to be paid off so I can get a new one. Sucks driving a rental!!
oh and glad you are ok!!!

Glad to hear you're in one piece and you're getting a replacement. So you're not even thinking about getting another car? Haha I think the thought would cross my mind if I had a chance to get something else...but in the end, I'd probably still go back to the G.
Unless you have VPP, I agree w/ everyone here that a few hundred above invoice is very reasonable. I was fortunate enough to be on Plan A and got 3.65% below invoice. I've even heard of people getting around this price WITHOUT VPP, so look around. Good luck man, hope everything works out in the end.
