Man that sucks. I think that is a total loss. Airbags run about 3 G's each to replace. When I wrecked my G35 last month it was the exact same spot with the wheel turned just like that, I mean it looked almost identical to yours except my suspension was blown out on the whole passenger side and it was a total loss cause there was frame damage. Of course my G35 was not worth quite as much as your G37 so hopefully it works out for you. That would suck to get back a brand new wrecked car.

That sucks. A long time ago I wrecked my 93 Altima SE a few months after I bought it and they wouldn't total it either. Even though it was fixed pretty much perfect I still always thought I could feel it pull or have a little slop in the steering. Good luck man!

Ok, so the car is now officially totaled. My insurance company has a policy where if you've owned the car for less than 90 days, you get the full amount that you paid (including the sales tax, title, fees, etc.) minus 45 cents per mile. So, I'm going to be out about $1000 with the 2000 miles I drove.
My question is, I'd like to get a new G37, and I think the dealers are moving more on price now then when I bought in the fall. What kind of discounts off of MSRP are people getting now?

First and foremost, glad you're OK!
Despite what the adjuster initially told you, the car can still be totaled, so don't lose hope.
I had my G35 rear-ended about a month ago (before I bought the G37) and the adjuster told me that it was fixable...about 2 weeks later, they sent it to the shop of my choice (which was simply one of the preferred AAA shops) and two days later, the shop claimed it was totaled...
Just to throw some numbers out there, the KBB value of the car was about $26-$27K (inc taxes and stuff I got $31.5K back) and the initial estimate that the shop ran came out to be $21K of damages...they then told me that the $ amount of damages would only go up from there. So if we did the math, $21K is about 80% of the $26K, which I'm guessing would be the threshold for CA...if we applied that to your car (I'm going to guess a value of $35K), then you're looking at $28K of damages
While that may seem high and that the damage may appear minimal, keep in mind that expensive car = expensive parts
IMHO, your car looks totaled, but I'm no guru on this...I would wait and see what the shop says...if the car is claimed fixable, then you're also free to get independent quotes (although these will have to come out of your own pocket to get)
Attached is a pic of my car, just to give you an idea of the damage I had...

Ugh, langrock!! I post that long a** reply and you tell me the cars already been totaled! I kid, I kid...
Glad to hear the car's been totaled since that's what you were hoping for...
I just got my car this past weeked and got it for $300 below invoice at the time (this is before the price bump up over the weekend), or about $39,000 (compared to Invoice today, that's $1000 below invoice and $4000 below MSRP). I got it for $43,150 OTD...
Hope that helps!!

Glad you are okay. Glad they totalled it, but sorry it happened. That's a pretty nice policy your insurance company has.
I'm guessing if you go to the same dealer and buy another one from the same folks, they'll take care of you. The'll be making money off of you twice, even if they sell you a car at invoice. Good luck!
