Best car I've ever owned...... A few things could be tweaked to my taste, but its really splitting hairs at this point:

The trunk is oddly small.

Both power outlets go off with the car, this makes it hard to charge my phone.

Lack of a Sirius option, I have my old school sportster jammed in the center console.

The sports seats are clearly made for sub 200 pound people

Like others have said, auto lock would be nice once the key was a certain distance from the car.

My biggest complaint is that with the winter tires and road conditions I can't really drive it like I would want to.

I rather a quality 5-speed auto than a crappy 6-speed automatic transmission (IS350).

Door handles scratch easily.

Could use a bit more headroom.

Long, heavy doors will whack you pretty good if you're not careful how far you open them.

We just picked up our LP G37 today and I have just a couple of minor complaints. First is the seat bottom cushion does not tilt back at all really, I constantly feel like I am sliding off. Second, while I apprieciate a quality transmission, (I also have a dodge truck), it truly needs another overdrive gear. 3000 RPM @ 70MPH, one more gear would make it an almost perfect drivetrain. Thats my gripes.

-Driver side's blind spot.
-Small trunk and small center armrest storage, also I prefer the armrest to be alittle longer toward the front.
-Rattle from the passenger side seat belt when the belt holder is down on the side.
-feel odd without a digital clock on the screen (for car w/o navigation system)

i LOVE the G - most complaints are minor but here goes:

1. Soft paint scratches easy. Self healing paint coming out will prob be better.

2. No Auto-lock or unlock for the doors!

3. Only one CD at a time on the Bose "upgrade" system

4. Kind of crummy that you can not rip mp3 CD's!

5. (M/T) Heavy abrupt clutch that I am still getting used to

6. Driver seat controls hard/uncomfortable to reach for bigger hands like mine.

7. Windows moans/squeaks with just some moisture

8. Trunk can be used either to take a 6-pack to your buddy's house, briefcase and laptop to work, or a couple of small shopping goods (video games, clothes, few groceries). NOT all of the above. So hardly practical to have as the only car at your disposal if and when you start a family. I plan on investing in a Lexus IS or Cadillac CTS type vehicle in the future maybe 2-3 years down the road.

9. Aluminum on Interior Door handles scratch and probably dent easy. I just have two tiny nicks but I've seen pics on forums and reviews of deep gashes in it that people don't even remember how happened! Interior materials and build quality could have taken some guidance from Lexus!!

10. Also on the M/T I feel that the center armrest is too short and back to actually use for my arms unless I roll my seat to the back all the way. An armrest for my arm rather than just to cover the small storage space would have been nice especially for those rides in open highway in 6th gear when you want to rst your right arm. Your left arm always has the window ledge.

BTW - to the guy that said Homelink can't be found in the dark? How is that? There's a green light right next to it and it's basically right there in the middle of your rearview. If anything it's easier to find that some cars that have tiny little buttons near where your "eyeglass holder" would be.

it should have been 200lbs. lighter....

other than that it's what i expect from an upgraded G35.

the exhuast could be a tad quieter....can't accelerate without turning heads...

I absolutely LOVE my G but there are a few minor issues:

-The seat-bottom bolsters dig into my butt on the left side.

-Can't rip mp3 cds

-Trunk is too small (though I did manage to squeeze in $267 worth of groceries yesterday).

-Cupholders are possibly the worst I have seen (with exception to the spectacularly bad 335i's).

-Hard drive freezes up on occasion (has only happened to me twice so far).

-Clutch takes some getting used to.

-Shifter not up to Honda standards.

-Car is too heavy (330hp should be quicker).

-"Foglights" look more like DRL's.

-I love the interior materials now but am concerned about their robustness.

With all that being said, none of it is a big deal to me. The car is easily the best I have ever owned and I would recommend it without hesitation.

Like others have stated...
  • Armrests on doors are way to low. I can't slump that far to use
  • Can't operate seat controls with door closed, sucks on long trips
  • Center console has poor storage, either cup holders or small storage, not both, can't even store a pen with the compartment/cup holder divider
  • Cup holders interfere with shifting MT
  • Poor placement for connecting and storing iPod
  • Bose stereo not up to quality for a $40k vehicle
  • Carpets and floor mats are Kmart quality, mats show wear at 500 miles
  • Seatbelt resting position not on shoulder but scraps on neck, I always have to place behind shirt collar
  • Duplicate functions on trip display and center screen such as MPG and distance to empty
  • To many buttons to control trip meter/trip computer, interferes with wiper controls
  • Steering wheel does not move for exiting, using memory position 1&2 doesn't work without opening door first, depends on which FOB I have.
  • Service manual duplicates material multiple times making it ten times bigger than it needs to be. Uses crude drawings instead of photos as reference
