You know it's cold when...

I use Bridgestone Blizzaks on my 19" Stockers. I bought 20's for the summer so they make a nice (really nice actually) winter rim. Haven't had any problems with traction with them and they look good too.

I use Blizzaks on 18" rims - they work well up to -30 or so then they also get fairly hard. When it's in the -40's it takes a couple of blocks of driving before they are round again (they freeze with a flat spot on the one side).

Wow, makes me feel spoiled with 70 degrees here in Southern Cali.

Also, no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no floods, no volcanoes, only a few really cold days in the winter... you can prepare for that!

Yeah.
We get several weeks a winter where it never gets above 0F, even during the day, along with 250"-300" of snow to shovel and sno-go every winter.
We got 52" of snow 3.5 days in the 3rd week of April last yr.
I bought 18" wheels and Blizzaks for my FX yrs ago, and am hoping the same wheels will fit over the larger brakes when I get the G37.
I run 20" KD Dub Yahs in the summer-

It does not get that cold here, but we sometimes DO get heat in the three digits (NASTY!). During the summer I have to carry a couple of small towels to put over the steering wheel and the shift ****, otherwise they get too hot to the touch. An forget driving without any shoes on...
