Wow. Kids are idiots. This is one of many reasons why I garage my car. If you get lucky someone debadging their car will sell it to you just make a "looking for" type post Im sure someone will sell it cheap. I have heard many on the forums who thought the S symbol looked too corolla-S'ish so all those people are prob unbadging and selling - though I personally dont care i like it.

Also the scratches - have ur dealer buff them out and maybe put a clay bar to it - it should get somewhat close to ok for free at least.

SORRY MAN.

So I guess you need to fix your sig then?

But seriously, that sucks. It's probably gonna end up on some ricer's car.

Sorry to hear that. My friend got his badge jacked once. Then he bought another one and used some sort of cement epoxy to bind it to his car. Never got jacked again. Doesn't necessarily mean someone tried, but if they did, they didn't succeed. I do agree with the skater comment though...I used to have some skater friends who did that back in the day. If you ever find that punk, go run over his board or something.

No seriously that sucks. I hate when people mess with other people's stuff. It is the lowest of the low.

Haha thats funny but true... These wankster/ricers are so lame sometimes they think they're so hard jacking emblems and grills. Find that beautiful badge and then

Not even close ... at least the "Type S" looks far more distinguished than the Corolla-esque "S" that is on the G37S.

On a 2nd gen TL (2002-2003):
(Image from this article: http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/rp/03aspec.htm)

Current Type-S badge:

On a Corolla-S:

On a G37S:

----------------

My advice: debadge the trunk and save yourself the grief of someone else trying to 'jack any more. Plus, that'll save any scratches from future 'jack attempts.

To the OP, Wheelsun:

Which area do you live in? If you would like a replacement S badge from mine, I can help you out. I have some plans for the back end of my G so will be taking the 'S' off anyway.

Lemme kno, PM me or w/e. Hopefully the scratches will buff out. I hear good things about ScratchX by meguiars.

Wow that S looks so much better on the G! Thanks to this thread I've started backing in my car at places younger people frequent more often.

You should try asking someone on the forum if they are willing to sell it. Maybe they debadge their car to make it look clean. Worth a shot.

Or you could use a red sharpie for a temporary badge-like look.

Oh yeah, a few months ago, I saw a Ford Escort with an S on it. I wanted to debadge that car so badly, but my conscience told me not to. If I did, I'd sent it to ya for free hahaha.
