I feel like a G37 guinea pig

Some people's reaction to the dollar is: "They gave me a dollar, so I feel obligated to do something in return. But a dollar really isn't nearly enough to compensate me for my time." Returning the dollar might be a solution.
Now, is returning the dollar more rude than keeping it but not completing the survey? Oh, the dilemma!
My survey is both more and less involving than the others. The survey itself is much shorter, but it's not a one-time thing. Everyone needs to supply at least an approximate odometer reading four times a year. This allows results to be updated quarterly.

No monetary compensation. But the difference is that my research is done to serve the people who participate in it, not corporate clients. Others give you a buck, but good luck getting a look at detailed results from them.
If you'd like to have access to better reliability information, it's worth participating. If you're not interested in such information, then I'd understand if you don't participate.
