I havent looked under the mat in my trunk - I wonder if its a donut or full size spare with rim. Probably a donut from what I hear even the sedan has a donut in it. They should pop a full size spare with sport rim in there lol...that would be a great upper for that dreadful first day u curb a rim....it should come with the premium package haha

It seemed to be more of a dark/sexy violet color to me.

OK, that does it! I'm getting another car now.
I tend to agree, though. They changed the lights on the new M and I'm not thrilled. I like the look of my 06. I'm still on the fence. My lease ends in two months and I've yet to decide whether it's the 335(x), 535(x), 550, M45x or G37. I've got to order the bimmer now if I want delivery in time. Otherwise, I guess I'll shell out an extra payment on my M.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I would difinately call the interior lighting blue not purple. Either way, I absolutely love it. It's one of my favorite interior features. I loathe the orange interior lighting, to me it looks cheap and like it belongs on a Grand Am or some other GM product.
A full sized spare would add a lot of weight to a car already a bit heavy for a performance luxury coupe and also a considerable amount of expense versus a donut.

Since so many people are love-it-or-hate-it about the instrument panel lighting ... may I chime in and say the designers should have gone all the way and got rid of the orange color from the information display between the speedo and tach?
I think it looks awful to have: white, blue (purple?), black, and the orange show up. Personally, it would be better if they did what Acura did and use white lettering on a black background but do the reverse for warnings (ie black letters on white background). It would flow so much better ... but I guess Nissan has a stockpile of nasty orange displays to use up before they integrate the whole color palate.
