Doors unlock when the cars off?

Why dont the doors unlock when the car turns off? Furthermore, why when you try to open the door when they are locked does the door no unlock and open!!? This is the most annoying thing when I can't even get out of my car.

I agree that its pretty annoying, but it can also be seen as a safety feature!

Now what would be cool, is if we could enable/disable the feature to do the preferred.

I never liked it when a locked door would open when you pulled the lever inside. I was in the front seat of a Ford van around 15 years ago (I was around 6 or 7 I think) and I remember playing with the handle while we were on the freeway. Since it was locked, I figured it wouldn't do anything if I pulled it....and I was wrong. The door popped open a little bit, which scared the crap outta me. Never tried that again hahaha.

That's probably why they don't offer doors that automatically unlock anymore. Some poor kid pulled the same stunt you did, but actually rolled out of the car and got killed. After the auto mfg got their azz sued off, they disabled all automatically unlocking doors.

Kinda like why McDonalds only serves lukewarm coffee now.

Why must we all suffer from those few mistakes people make?
