Better deals to come?

ok, i couldn't find where to make a poll at, so I'll just leave it open. Do you think that the deals offered on the G37 right now, are better and will be better than those offered around the end of March, beginning of April?

I know that people will be more likely to buy a G during spring because of better weather conditions. But, also most people who REALLY wanted one and couldn't live without it, have already gotten one. Also, I've considered that the price difference between a new loaded G35 and a new G37 loaded is just enough to put it out of a lot of people's price range who normally would have considered a G35, makeing them even more rare and therefor probably harder for the dealer to sell.

opinions?

Honestly I think there will be more demand comes Spring, But either way, if you bargain around you will always get a good deal, dont Hold off if you are waiting for a special, call around and you will get the price you want

But either way I dont think it makes a difference, buy it now, or in Spring, The Same Dealer will be willing to give you the same deal than and now, UNLESS Demand on it goes like crazy and Nissan Ends up selling there whole stock in one month lol!

I think your better off waiting til the first of the year. After that things should slow down a little. Remember, a dealer is only going to give you a good deal on a car they HAVE on their lot, if they don't have your car, just find a dealer who does. If they have to trade a car for your, your gunna pay for it! Spread out you'd be suprised at what different offers you can get from dealers who are a little further away, do your homework and don't rush into a deal. If its sounds to good to be true.. Well you know how that goes.

Best time to buy a car is in December because most people are out doing Christmas shopping and car dealerships are pretty dead. Best day is 12/31.

With that said, given the fact that the forecast is for significant reductions in car sales due to the bursting of the mortgage/lending bubble, car dealers will be really hurting next year and you can probably still get good deals throughout 2008.

Actually, I read somewhere that the holiday season is a good time to purchase a vehicle. Sales are slower than normal because.
1) It's the end of the year and new models are coming out
2) People are too busy with the whole holiday season.
3) Salesmen are trying to boost their quotas.

Where do you guys get saying december is a slow month?? If anything its the second or third best month for dealers. New cars come out in September not now. I still think your better off waiting til January or February before the Spring rush.

When is the best time to buy a car? What are secret incentives?

There are two "best times" to buy a car. The end of December is a good time for car buyers to buy a new car. Our $avometer Database shows how well our visitors did buying a car at Christmas. Everyone is out buying XMAS gifts, leaving new car dealer lots void of customers, motivating dealers to cut prices, and break year end sales records. Another good time to buy a car is July to October as new car dealers sell off cars at low prices to clear space for new car models. Secret factory to dealer incentives can be $1000-$6000 in addition to new car consumer rebates! In November, 2003 BMW had a $5000 secret factory to dealer incentive on the 7 series! If they sell you the car at invoice, they earned $5000 more. You should haggle over this incentive, many dealers willingly give up all or part of this incentive, making your cost lower.

From a sales point of view (yes I am a sales rep, but not for cars, in biotech) December is a difficult month. People are taking vacations, doing the holiday thing, shopping, etc.

But for sales reps, they still have a job to do. In order to meet their goals, they'll definitely wheel and deal when they can. I think December is definitely a good month to buy, regardless of the industry.

VPP combined with low finance rates makes now a pretty good time. That's what I did and I don't think the car will get much less expensive than what I paid. But the 2.9% is what drew me into buying it last month.

I'm also in sales but for software. December is one of our best months. Mostly because it's the end of our fiscal year and buyers are savvy enough to know we'll do whatever it takes to get it on the books. So, as you said, it's one of the best times to buy.

The problem with all these posts about the best time to buy is that they assume that the car you want is on the lot. I'm having a hard time finding a good price because what I want they don't have on the lot so they don't want to discount any.

You would think that making a sale would be more important. All the quotes I've gotten have all been, "we don't have this but we do have this instead" If I wanted that I would have requested that. A few of them are throwing in maintenance for 2 years which would be worthless since I don't live there. The best price I found was only $400 off msrp. Ugh. I guess I'll see what my local dealer is offering. Thought I'd get quotes from all around first.

I know what you mean!

I'm thinking that if there isn't one in the exact options that I want, I might as well pass on the car entirely! I'm not willing to pay much more than invoice.

If only someone would order what I want and sell it to me for a great price!
