I hope I do not have the first totalled G37S.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune and I'm glad you do not have any serious injuries.

With that out of the way, I'm thoroughly confused by your message. First, you want the adjuster to total the car, then you say you wish you got a 335i instead of G37, but you end your post w/ "I hope I do not have the first totalled G37S."

So, which is it? Do you want it totaled or not?

I think he doesnt want to branded as the guy that had the first "totaled" G37...if I read that right.

But for all practical purposes, he wants it totaled, so he can start all over, since a repair job might be shoddy...or unsafe.

Wow man, tough break. But your ok, so it's time to laugh about it. Great story to tell the grand kids

As far as you hating your payments and wishing you had a 335i, just remember your really going to hate those payments, especially if you try to get one with all the features you had on the G Personally I think the bimmer folks are just a bit nervous of how much close to the mark the G is this generation. But if you can afford it and everything works out with your insurance you won't go wrong with either car, that's for sure.

Good luck either way you choose. And go find that trucker. He needs to be put behind bars.

Hey guys I am back.

No I do not have my car back but, I am in a small dilemma. My car is at NT Autobody in VA, and the damages are at a estimated $28,000. MY VERY stupid insurance company, estimated damages at $15,000 so they went a head and started repairing the car. The car is about two weeks from being finished however, my insurance company is NOT TRYING to "total" my car. I am passed the 80% mark and everything else. Since the car is almost completely repaired, they are trying to get out of paying it off (totalling) the car because they wasted so much money on the repairs.

I find this very unfair because the idiot appraiser should have done more research. It's not my fault that they allowed the body shop to continue working on the car. Anyway, I wrote to my MD state government insurance division and made a complaint about my insurance company. So far, my insurance company will probably be dishing out more than $30,000+ in damages + Pip + medical + rental coverage.

It's funny, if you look at the pics of the car, the damage does not look as bad as the total repair is costing. I guess their were more internal damage than I thought. Sigh... I hate driving rentals... I am currently driving a Chevy Malibu, I feel like hiding everytime I get in it.

I will post pics tonight when I get home. I was waiting for the myG37.com to get back up first.

Damn that blows, I really hope the car feels the same after you get it back in return. You barely got a chance to enjoy the beauty....I really wanna see pics of this damage. 28K seems a tad bit steep IMO.

Thanks chilibowl... This whole accident thing sucks. I have the worst lawyer, worst insurance company and the worst appraiser.

My PIP is done, at least for personal injury I should be receiving a good chunk of $$$$. If, I am planning on hitting the other party with a huge "diminish value" suit. I called my dealer and advised them on my situation, and they said "they would not accept my car if I tried trading it in" with so much damage. I am trying hard to get my state involved to "total" the car out before the car is returned to me.

I really want another G37S now. My company has an established relationship with Infiniti, so I can apply for the VPP financing if I get the car totaled. This plus the purchasing deals I have been seeing recently will drastically be cheaper than what I am paying now.

Crossing my fingers here guys....Pictures to come in few hours.
