Who here has drove their G in the Midwest snowstorm yet?? :0)
Im from metro Detroit in Michigan and as my midwestern brethren already know it's a white early Christmas out there....Well its sunday now and the freezing rain overnight has made it icy, but last night when the snow was fresh and fluffly I took her for a conservative spin. Pun intended...
She was fishtailing quite a bit on faster turns, but correcting herself slowly but surely.my Lexus GS400 at home is also RWD but held in place a little better and had a snow traction control. Good news is 2nd gear starts lessened the spinning tires I was havin in 1st gear. We have enough torque and the snow eased the gear in better by lettin the tires spin a bit easier....I am thinking about putting some bagged weights in the trunk. I doubt I could fit more than 150-200 lbs. It's either that or I only drive on drier days...
Anyone else take it out last night or was I the only dumba$s?

I saw a Black G37 with the sport package on I94 last night in the ice and snow. It had the 19" wheels, but I couldn't tell if it had snow tires or not. It kept up with the rest of traffic and didn't seem to be sliding too much. I followed next to it for about 4 hours, or 50 miles. Our roads in Wisconsin were HORRIBLE.
I don't have mine yet, but I'm not sure i'd have driven it in the snow and ice yesterday. I'd have driven my company car if at all possible.

Agreed 100%. When my G gets here in December, it will be delivered to me with the winter wheels and tires on it. I'll wait to drive the summer tires until the weather warms up in the spring.

If you're going to drive your G37S in snow/ice you need snows not summer tires (that's why they're called sumer tires). Swapped Blizzaks onto my 19" wheels and they did well in the snow & ice in Chicago this weekend.

Funnt first weekend i got mine it snowed here in edmonton i drove the car on the summer in -12 C weather and 8-10 cm of snow 50+ KM on hwy #2 from edmonton to Leduc. It was not the best ride but i would not consider it useless.
