G37 without Navi

Does anyone here have a G37 w/o navi? I drove the G today and it moved cleanly up my list for my next car. I have been looking at the 350Z, ISF, Cayman S, the new STI but for the money the G is hard to beat. I don't have a lot of use for the navi but I do need the bluetooth and ipod access. If anyone has a G with nav please share your thoughts, thanks.

you dont need the nav package for the bluetooth and ipod access, just the premium package (hi there everyone, new to the forums, hoping to get my G37 within the next couple months, wait is killing me)

For $2200, the Nav is worth it.

save yourself 2200 bux my friend. navi's are for women. men use gas stations lol

my g doesnt have the navi and im doing great. one thing i cant live without is my ipod syncing with the info display. i love it and use it everyday. also, i just began using my blutooth phone with my G and it works awesome! you make calls without touching your phone and also drop the calls or switch them to privacy mode if you dont want the rest of the car to hear your convo. i looked at getting the navi pkg and the technology pkg but i decided to pay for my insurance instead and treat my girl to a nice dinner since she isnt allowed to drive the G -lol

either way you cant go wrong. a G is G and you'll be happy with it no matter the options.

Here is my opinion on the subject. The premium and sport packages are an absolute must for the car. Premium especially. I truly would like the nav package (have to see final numbers but if I cant get it then its no great loss) The hard drive, nave, and rear view camera would be a nice addition. As for the tech package, that truly is a "if you have the extra cash get it" but if you are counting dollars to get the car (like I am) its definitely not needed.

To Sum up:

Car + Premium + Sport + Spoiler= Absolute Necessary (Probably how I would get mine)

Car + Prem. + Sport + Spoiler + nav = Very very nice to have but not completely necessary

Car + Prem + Sport + Spoiler + nav + tech = If you have the cash, sure its nice.

Hope that helps

The way I figure...

Premium: necessary

Nav: absolutely awesome if you have it...one of the best in the market...to me, well worth it

Tech: only thing good about it is the AFS...the hole cutout for the ICC sensor ruins it regardless of price

4WAS: waste of money

Edit:
Forgot to mention only nav has the full blown voice recognition commands...another +1 for navigation package.

I completely agree with your statements. Especially about 4WAS. But don't you like the intelligent cruise control?? The only downside I see to it is if you're in the freeway and the road turns significantly left or right, depending on your current speed and what you have the cruise control set on, the laser loses track of the car in front of you for a second or two and the car accelerates pretty hard. A minor annoyance.

Nah...Not really my thing. I hardly use cruise control, if at all. I guess I'm a control freak. I'd rather be controlling the car than have the car automatically adjust my speeds. Plus I've heard the laser from the tech package has been interfering with some radars. One less potential problem.

Really? Like jamming the radars? Haha, that'd be awesome.

I'm a bit of a control freak myself, but these days, I'd rather save the gas and let the car do the controlling for me.

Someone had posted something about it setting off their radar all the time. I don't have the tech package personally, so I wouldn't be able to verify it. In all fairness, seems like a lot of people really like what the ICC does...But, its just not for me.

i'll get one without navi. i think its a waste of money. just go to circuit city and buy one for $500. $2200, is a little too much.

Thanks everyone and your thoughts really helped, I have nav on my current car because the car had it when I bought and it is nice but I'm watching the dollars on the G so I'll just have to wait until I get my 2 yr old GTR to have navi. thanks again and this is going to be a great community when I get my ride. I love the black but I'm going IP, I just don't have the time to maintain the black.
