rofl, your car is probably now BETTER off now that he gave a nice RPM spike. Some people honestly think its "bad" to redline their motors. Do you know that redlining your motor cleans off carbon deposits? He honestly did you a favor. Quit being a p*ssy and drive that G they way it was meant to be driven, VQ's were MADE to be driven hard.

You're fine though... A little push here and there won't hurt anything.
Trust me, he is right. They rev the $hit out of the engines as part of verification/validation. The "break in" period is just so you don't come back to the dealer in 200 miles, with a destroyed clutch or something along those lines

Same thing happened to me, I keep it under 4k rpms, I have 600 Miles, and I was showing my friend the paddle shifters and went to 1st gear for 2 seconds and bumped up to 7-8k rpms for a second, but for 2 Seconds, whats the worst that could happen?

Ha ha u freak out just like me....During my break in I once downshifted from 6th to 2nd on accident even though I was aiming for 4th haha. Luckily I was only @ 50 MPH so the RPMs only shot up to about 6 1/2...

You are perfectly fine - in fact a handful or so of high revs towards the end of break in is good in my opinion. I am a fan of the calculated break-in where you high rev from time a time at the later portion of the break in. A couple times will NOT hurt your car. If anything just making sure your oil temp is up a bit before revving it up is more crucial.....
