I am a little worried too, but I realize I bought this very early in the production cycle. An all-new interior is going to have a few problems. I just hope the dealer can fix them. It is my first Infiniti and I am willing to suspend judgment until the dealer has a chance to fix them. If this was the second year after the model change for the coupe, I would be much more concerned.

Of course, I am an engineer and these kinds of rattles drive me nuts. I hated my previous US-built car because of the rattles (and a few other reasons). I also hated dealers/techs who seem to be mostly deaf.

Other than the rattle and a burning rubber smell (2k miles), I really love the car. No strange computer issues or mechanical problems. Twice the power of my 96 Accord and the same gas mileage.

I was wondering, how well do the Infiniti dealers diagnose and fix rattles? I can reproduce the rattle easily on a road near the dealer.

My previous experience have been at the extremes. I owned a Chevy in the 80's and it rattled horribly. The dealers were basically deaf. After that, I owned Nissans, Mazdas and Hondas and never took them back for rattles.

Next week, I will see what Roswell Infiniti can do for my rattles.
