It's not that. I just started picturing myself getting locked out.

I also chaged my mind and left it there too.

If you do it, there is no way to close the windows without turning on.

Functionality is more important for me.

Also, don't forget, the car warns when the remote battery is getting low.

Battery

I keep one in the car but unless you are traveling there is no need really, the last time the warning went off, I still had plenty of reserve power. Those batteries are pretty common at Walgreens, etc.

It's a regular warning in the car, just like gasoline, maintenance, door open, etc.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks this mod is kind of silly. First off what's so bad about seeing a keyhole? Second, what happens if (god forbid) the electric key didn't unlock your doors? You have to call AAA to slimjim your lock (and possibly breaking something in that process) instead of using the tried and true method of a metal key unlocking a door. I'm all for mods, but this one I just don't get.

First I have to answer that calling a service, in this scenario, is not realistic. The cover comes off in about half the time it would take to make that call.

To each his own. The facts are: the mod is available, looks good, you get a warning when the battery is low. It all adds up to preference. The key hole is not needed, except to raise the windows. And mods are FUN.
