If you comparatively average just the numbers the G has ratings for, it comes out as #1....

german car owners expect problems/forgive problems/make excuses for problems. go own a toyota or honda for a while and you'll see the difference. infiniti has problems too btw (but still much much better than bmw - only lease a bmw don't own one), they dropped in reliability according to consumer reports recently.

Don't read into what is not there. Sticky pedal wasn't affecting my car. I merely made mention of some people having it and it was replaced.

I've owned Toyota (quality is slipping big time), we have an MDX and I'm currently in an Infiniti. Without question of the 20 or more cars I've had the BMW has had the best track record for reliability.

Then again, I tend not to keep them very long. In the past 16 years, I only bought once and wound up selling it nearly 2 years after buying. Lease is the only way to go for my family.

I completly agree. Every german cars my family has own has been nothing but trouble as soon as the waranty ran out. My bimmer, my sister's Audi and my aunt's Mercedes all magically started to break down only at that point . That's why I was surprise about the reliability rating from that website and automatically lost any credibility they had in my eyes. It was probably done on a short term basis. I've never owned an Infiniti so can't speak on that.
