Well sales are poor and there really isn't a wow factor besides the new motor and interior.
- The motor and interior is like ~70% of the friggin car!

Exterior wise, it's not better then a Solara and Honda Accord.
- That's just your opinion. Mine is exterior wise, it's not better than a Gallardo or Enzo.

I think that the G37 is competing against those 2 cars and not the 3 series. People would rather buy the 3 series then the G37.
- Yes, you are clearly a representative of the people...

Also, if people had to choose between a 45k G37 and a 30k and under Honda Accord/Solara, guess what they are going to pick. Which is why Sales sucks. The G35 was a 35k car and no other car came close to it at that price range. Add to the looks and you got a great selling ride.
- Huh? The G35 was a ~33k car and the G37 is a ~35k car. You're comparing a bare bones G35 to a fully loaded G37. Back when it first came out, the G35 fully loaded was going for about the same as a fully loaded G37 right now.

I'm not even gonna bother with the rest. I don't disagree with your opinion that a 335i is a great car, but you're making unfair and illogical comparisons to the Bimmer.

you can't compare an M3 to a G37 which retailed over 20K more... plus even the first year E46 M3 had some engine issues that a major engine recall had to be put out.

the E90-E92 is a great car but it does have it's share of probems as well. anyone can go to bimmerfest or E90post and search for little problems here and there.

i do agree that the M3 is a notch or two above the G37 as far as performance and quality alone. the E46 M3 still stands as a great looking car even being 6-7 years old AND with the E92 M3 comming out.

I agree there were problems no doubt. I'm just stating over the 3 years I had my M3 I had Zero issues quality wise. Already within two months I have rattles, noises, axle, clicks, and now my exhaust is starting to rattle. Granted it is the first model year and things are expected. I still love my G and wouldnt get rid of it. My neighbor has had her 335i now for 5 months and she has had zero issues with that also. I have never owned an infiniti before so i didnt know what to expect as far as quality control was concerned. I'm just a little dispointed with what i'm finding now..

sort of, Right now they are ordering all new parts to repair the axle click and sending mine back to japan for inspection. The exhaust they will order once they have the car and they confirm the rattle although my writer heard it and said it shouldnt be an issue to order a new one. The rattles in the car are little stupid ones and they said there really is no way of fixing them. One in the passanger door by speaker.

it's too rare for a new gen to come out and the following year be a redesign..they prob already have 90+% of the changes (body moldings, interior tweaks, etc.) already laid out and planned and rarely is it drastic in one year....the 2009 will prob fix like 4-5 quirks...add a couple of minor features standard, make better cupholders, roomier armrests, etc etc....it wont be major...for them to do such an instant drastic redesign the sales would have to be extremely low and reviews horrible - that's not the case (see Motor Trend)

Wow UNV I Can't believe that - I wonder if the problems you had with your G are going to be across the board with all G's? I am only at 900 miles and all I had was the bird/alarm chirp from the axles and they greased it up I dont hear it anymore....is the problem you are havin a continuation of that universal problem or an exclusive and unique one altogether?

I have that rattling that you have by the passenger door speaker! and i have another rattling sound by the rear driverside around the tire wall. This car has alot of little rattling here and there.

+1... I wouldn't expect much to change for 09.

But... if I can get laid by Jessica Alba in the next hour, I'll let Infiniti change it.
