More power for 2009?
#16
Nissan has a pretty good track record at upping the ante in second model years:
Nissan altima 2002 240Hp, Altima 03 250hp 5
Nissan maxima 03 250hp, 04 255hp,
G35 03 260, 04 280, 05-08 297/306.
Nissan titan 06 306hp, 07 315hp
I am looking to buy in the spring, wondering if I should wait for an 09
340hp?

I am waiting till March in any case, so another 4-5 months to see what the 2009 models hold really does not make much difference.

Not after the first year- although I am sure there may be some examples if that. Normally it is during the mid cycle refresh that any changes are made. Those who market cars are smart. They know that- long term- if they make a habit of offering signifigant upgrades only after the first year of a vehicles model year that they will experience a decline in first year sales of future generation vehicles.

Yeah probably will happen in 2010. Well I guess if the extra few horses matters that much to you, then it might also be important to you that you'd be able to claim bragging rights to the first G coupe of the new decade.

Not worried about bragging rights but when you looking at modding these cars the dollar/horsepower equation is not very favorable. When you spend 1k on an aftermarket exhaust to gain 10hp it would certainly seem worthwhile to wait 3-4 months if there was an inclination that improvements might be made, but it seems the consensus is that there us not.
PS The 335 is all but out of the running. The value is just not there for me.
