Dealer says they cant find my other key.....

The infiniti PR chick wore me out with her efforts to clear the account and make sure that I was happy. There was the $500 deposit chargeback, and the payback from the trade in difference, she busted *** to get this all done. We bought out of state too, and she handled the taxes correctly, got the right documents to the right people here in Tennessee so we could tag it.
The math was complicated by the fact that we brought a check from our credit union for the total amount, but it was for too much so after the tradein and the deposit, they owed us money.
She did an incredible job. I never met her, but she sounded hot.
I didn't bother to read gurneys' post. It was way too long. But he's probably right.

Can't you go to a different dealership nearby? I'm pretty sure the other dealership would take the bill and make your keys for you.
And there is no need to be paranoid. No one wants to steal your car. If someone does have the keys so what? What are the chances of that person getting it right or knowing which car it belongs to.
But since the G37 sales are poor, and not that many G37 are on the streets, there may be a small chance. But highly unlikely.
It like, if you found a BMW key, are you going to walk by every BMW to see which car it belongs to?
I doubt it.
And if the G37 key is no different then the G35 key, there no chance in hell it'll happened.

I would want them to program a new set of keys, so that the old ones are of no use, the dealer should pay for this because they lost it and they lend you another car to drive while yours is in repair.

I'm not sure if this has been fixed yet or not but I'm on page one posting this. I say, yeah, don't worry about it but still tell them that since they messed up, THEY are the ones to fix it. If they want you to go get a new key from them, tell them to cut you a check for a tank of gas or for the mileage of the trim to and from the dealership and your house.
EDIT: Didn't read his Update +2 post right above where I was posting. Well I was on the right track with my idea Glad it got solved for you.
