Not true. You can connect any audio device to the AUX ports and use them while driving. It is the video port that is disable when the car is in motion, for obvious reasons. Also, the iPod interface is fully integrated and can be controlled via the steering wheel controls.

My 1st G37 test drive
Im here right now at the Ray Catena dealer in Edison NJ....the G is AMAZING it was the G37 sport 5MT but it was fun for an auto.....i used the paddle shifters for my 1st time & it feels weird but very nice (still have to get use to shifting tho) ive never driven a car with this much HP but it was good....it was a nice smooth ride but quick at the same time...just getting off of 1st was quick just went to 6500RPM...well i kno a group of you are waitin for your G...but i have to wait until i finish school which is Jun 20th 2008!!!! but i cant wait...
