G37 (or G35 sedan) safety

am planning to move up to a JDM 370GT (G37) or the sedan. currently driving a volvo S40 T5

the only problem i have is to answer gf/family's query as to how safe it is compared to the volvo.. im afraid there is still the perception that japanese cars will never be as solid as contis.. and particular volvos at that.

thing is, i cannot find any crash test ratings for the G37 or even for the G35s..

anyone know if such tests were ever done? or where i can find any info on this?

None for G37 yet but some for G35.
http://www.iihs.org/ratings/default.aspx (click side bar for ratings)
http://www.crashtest.com/intro/ (scroll/click right side bar for ratings)
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/c...htestvideo.htm
http://moneycentral.msn.com/insure/autorisk.aspx
http://www.safercar.gov/ (a little buggy, you have to go in/out)

Every once in a while, there might be a post on G35Driver about an accident involving their G35 being totaled, but they walked away from it relatively unharmed. Usually a good sign.
